BEACH HOUSE
|
This collection of photographs was taken during the Summers between 1992 and 1994 at our family beach house in St. Augustine. I was going to school for photography and experimenting with various cameras, films and formats: from chromes taken with a 5x7 view camera to b&w 35 mm negatives. The breezy interiors and found still lives record what were hastily left behind when the family was on the beach and the house was empty, or at night when everyone was inside. Fifteen years later I revisited these images which I never really considered as a body of work. Some of the color photographs show evidence of mildew and color shift, which seems fitting. They serve as evidence of a carefree time. |
